Summary Of Our Faith

The Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are inspired by God, without error, and the only and final authority in all matters of life and faith.

There is one God, who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

God the Son became a man in the person of Jesus Christ, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and His death on the cross was a perfect and substitutionary sacrifice for human sin.

After arising bodily from the dead, He ascended into Heaven. He will physically return to reign over this earth in the future.

The Holy Spirit is a divine person who calls people to saving faith in Christ; regenerates, baptizes, and indwells all believers, making them members of the body of Christ.

God created human life in His own image, but humans disobeyed so that we are each guilty and a sinner. All who receive Jesus Christ by faith are forgiven and saved eternally. Such forgiveness is a gift of God’s grace totally apart from any good works given to all who confess their sin and trust Jesus Christ alone. The believer is set apart by the presence of the Holy Spirit to a life of obedience, worthy of Christ Jesus.

The Church includes all believers, whereas the local church is composed of believers who covenant with one another to worship the Lord, to instruct and encourage one another in the Christian life, and to make the Gospel

known by every means. The spiritual offices of the church are pastor/elder and deacon.

Water baptism is the outward symbol of the believer’s spiritual union with Christ and practiced by immersion with allowance for special circumstances. The Lord’s Supper is a memorial celebration of His death and resurrection. All believers are welcome to share with us around His table.

There will be a final resurrection of all believers to a glorious and everlasting life in God’s presence and an eternal separation from God of the unrepentant in hell.

The Lord Jesus provides all things necessary through the Spirit for the growth of His body. Spiritual gifts are for the encouragement of others in Christian unity.
